Monogram, dte and inscription "287" scratched on the underside. Unique object. Height: 67 cm (26.3 in). [EH].

• One-of-a-kind
• A consistent reduction of the human body to an abstract stele.
• Other works by the artist are at, among others, the Städel Museum in Frankfurt am Main, the Augsburg Art Collections, and the Bavarian State Painting Collections in Munich.

PROVENANCE: Private collection, Hesse (in the family’s possession ever since).

In good condition. Handling marks along the edges from the making. Isolated small scuffs, with very few, minimal surface imperfections
